Anyway, I've decided to come back to using this website, if every once in a while. And one thing I want people to know is that I've very much improved in my drawing ability. I'll update with devinations soon.
I also want to mention that I will create a graphic noval. I'm still learning the ropes of creating it, and I still have much to learn in terms of drawing, but I will become published, sooner or later, sometime in the future. And I am creating my own genre of manga, which will come to be known as "unisex", or "for both females and males".
It sounds kind of pretensious and a little arrogent, I know. But what I mentioned are not dreams; they are goals, and I'm going give it my all to reach them.
Now I'm going to do a little recollection...
...When I was a freshmen in high school, I met this guy, who drew "Dragonball Z" type anime. He was absolutely not the one who got me into drawing anime/manga in the first place, but for a while I considered him a friend, and I admired his ability in art. However, when I first started attempting to draw manga/anime myself, it was clear he looked down on my work, even made fun of it, with no consideration for my feelings. At one point he even suggested that I had no talent whatsoever and that my drawings were terrible. It went beyond artistic critique; the guy eventually went out of his way to put down whatever I did, as though he was the only one capable of churning out a graphic noval one day. By the time I left the school at the end of my freshmen year, I considered him to be the most arrogent, callous dick in the world. I also considered him a rival, someone to compete against, to prove to him that my ability and potiental as an artist was to be respected and not laughed at as nonexistant.
Since leaving that school, I have improved beyond anything I ever expected, and have been praised by every single art teacher and professor. My need for story-telling and spreading my message is actually surpassing my need to prove those who told me "you can't do it" wrong. However... a tiny bit of rebellious-ness and fire inside me still flickers and turns into a roaring flame when I remember every single person who told me I would never make it as a manga artist, and those who laughed at my artwork and mocked my goal of making an awesome graphic noval series one day. Also, I've seen what others whom I don't want to "lose to" if you will, can do, and I want to surpass them. I will not lose to them.
So my goal of creating a graphic noval series is not a dream by any means, because it's just that; a goal, because I will get there sometime in the near future. I will make it happen.
Right now, I'm working on my style of drawing, and my style of story-telling; I want it to be a mix of shonhen and shojo; a shonhen-style manga for females, or "unisex". As for the manga itself, I'm working on the core elements and the basic story-line, and it's coming along nicely; everything is falling into place on it's own.
I'll update later more about it later on. I might not even be on this site that often, but I just wanted to give a decent update, to show people I'm still alive
Expect some devination updates in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for reading, whoever sees this.
